Following an expert selection panel and the results of an online public vote, the second dot-art Schools Cheshire exhibition took place at Storyhouse from the 8th the 24th June 2018. The overall winners of the 2018 dot-art Schools Competition for the Cheshire region were announced at a prize-giving ceremony on 7th June, where the top three students from each of the participating schools were presented with a certificate and the six overall winners and runners up received their prizes.
Pranathi Tulasi from The Catholic High School Chester won the Year 9 award for her piece "Susan Davis Painting 1".
Tahlia Buckley from Acton CE Primary Academy won the Year 5 award for her piece "Tahlia's Wave".
Runners Up Awards in the secondary category were presented to Connor P from Green Lane Community Special School and Lean Eugenio of Neston High School.
In the primary category Runners Up Awards were presented to Samuel Johnson of Kelsall Primary School and Freddie Morris of Archers Brook SEMH Residential School.
The winners were awarded a variety of prizes from Storyhouse, Tate Liverpool and Cass Art. In addition, as overall winner, Pranathi received a scholarship to dot-art, giving her a year's membership to dot-art's network, allowing her to showcase and sell her work alongside professional artists.
